The Chaos Closet
All the stuff I hide for when we have trips/airplanes/restaurants and want to keep the kids entertained
I have a little cabinet/closet where I keep all of the things I want to hide from my kids. This includes things that are great for trips, have tons of pieces so I don’t want them to constantly be throwing them around, but mostly one place I can go to grab some items to toss in a bag as I am out the door to a restaurant.
I cleaned it out recently as we’re preparing for a trip and shared it on Instagram, so here is a list of all of the things I have squirreled away in this cabinet for when I need it.
Pouches - These are so handy. I have two sizes (this big one and smaller one), and use them for absolutely everything. They are amazing when the toy comes in a box that is super inconvenient. The uses for these are endless.
Color Wonder Clipboard, Color Wonder Markers, Color Wonder Paper - I store the markers and sheets in their own pouches and fill the clipboard when we need it
Spirograph - my son is obsessed with this thing
Small Paper Pads - I like 5x8 size and these large sticky notes because they fit in the pouches
Highlights Hidden Pictures
Water Wow and Color Blast
Pouches and Colored Pencils - Love throwing some small paper and stickers in here
Games - Let’s Go Dino, Dinosaur Matching Games
Puzzles - Eeboo Mini Puzzles, Magnetic Puzzle
Magnetic Box Games - Construction Site, Eric Carle
