September Calendar Review
What I did, read, bought, podcasted, and wore in September
What a whirlwind of a month!
While I did not need two ED visits with my kids in two weeks, a little broken arm was a reminder to slow down. We’ve had some great weekends at home exploring the city, snuggles with my kids, and time to get organized. But also with so many follow up appointments, it’s been a bit like schedule Jenga.
I also had a fair amount of travel this month, two work trips and a weekend away on the Cape with girlfriends. With her recent injury, and more travel than usual, my daughter has had a lot of separation anxiety. It’s been tough, but I know it’s a phase - two things can be true. Take the trip.

What I Read?
This was a lighter month reading-wise. The Hallmarked Man is a 30h audio book, so it was a big commitment, and I was in a bit of a rut, but we’re out of it!
Favorites:
Summer in The City - Give me a second chance romance with a billionaire bachelor, and I’m going to say yes. I finished this in a long travel day, and I loved it. Such a delightful and charming read. The main character was a bit annoying at points, but the the MMC more than made up for it.
The Hallmarked Man - I’ve loved the Cormoran Strike series for a long time, and this book did not disappoint. These mysteries are so long and winding and always such a twist. Highly recommend if you love a good mystery.
What I Bought?
Some randoms and a lot of back to school
The Jacket - I’m obsessed with it. Couldn’t have been more of a “fuck yes” when I saw it on the Tuckernuck website, and I’m so happy with it.
Another Jacket - I love a statement piece, and this one was another immediate order. I love the bold color.
Sneakers - I needed a new pair of sneakers for walking/running and I wanted to get Brooks again. I found these at Nordstrom Rack, and I love them. I also bought a new pair of my workout sneakers in Fresno because I forgot them at home. Not a purchase I wanted to make at the time, but I’ve needed them for a while, and forgetting the sneaks pushed me over the edge.
A Bag I’ve Been Lusting After - I have this bag in red and I always get so many compliments on it. I’ve been kicking myself for not getting the bigger one in red for years, and I finally found it on Cuyana Revive (thanks, Alex!) It’s on its way to be and I cannot wait! If you haven’t shopped Cuyana Revive, you should give it a whirl. There’s a lot of great stuff on there!
What I wore?

themes - the jacket, mother kick flares, gap wide leg pants, my suitcase
