October Calendar Review
What I did, read, bought, podcasted, and wore in October
I truly love October. The leaves. The fall. The vibes.
This month was full. We baked, I traveled, my husband and big kid got to take a trip together, my daughter saw her first movie in a theater, I played in an alumni field hockey game and remembered how fun organized sports are. I recovered from said field hockey game, crafted (knitted, needlepointed, and finished my own ornaments), caught up with friends from near and far, and we got our cast off! I traveled again, and we celebrated/survived halloween. The weekends were full.

What I Read?
You can tell when I travel because of the number of books I plow through. This was a busy month! I read 15 books!
Favorites:
This American Woman - I didn’t know anything about Zarna Garg going into this book, but I am a huge fan after reading this. Her story, her grit, her humor all made this an incredibly fun read - and I recommend the audio.
It’s Different This Time - This book is a warm hug, a second chance love story, set in New York that will make you fall in love with it. I just loved it so much!
Chestnut Springs Series - I went deep in this series this month, and love them. I think my favorite of the ones I’ve read so far is Heartless. Single dad, nanny, SOOOO Much tension.
Noteable:
The River Is Waiting - This is a book I wouldn’t normally pick up, but did for book club. Read the trigger warnings. It was an incredibly hard book to read, but spurred good discussions.
What I Bought?
I finally got into Greenhouse Needlepoint to buy myself a little ditty for a project. I got a great belt that I’m working on for my husband, and a fun project I am going to make into a clutch for myself.
I got this garland that Meg Hall recommended and I love love love how it looks. I also ordered these Sunnies as a rec from Jessica Padula and I love them for the price. I also randomly ordered this nail clipper that is probably one of my favorite orders so far this year.
I also did a little Sephora Shopping this month (wish I’d timed it with the sale, but oh well) and here are the items I’ve been loving. This lotion as a rec from Devan Jesmer and this sun screen/foundation that Lucie Corkery recommended. I also got this serum (also a Devan rec) and have been loving it so far.
I also ordered the Rothy’s clogs and CANNOT wait for them to arrive.
What I wore?
