Man, am I grateful for April. March felt 1M days long. It brought a lot of change (the new job) and some crappy weather (but no snow).
April has started on full bore. We each have work travel, I had a conference, I have a fun trip, and Spring Sports are starting. Thinking about the month makes me tired, but I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit excited about it. Anxious, but excited.
Hoping this week’s chaos is not indicative of the rest of the month.
Grateful for more sun, Marco Polo, healthy kids, consistent movement, and the ridiculous Jelly shoes my daughter wears every day.
This week, here are my March Reads!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reads
Mayluna - OK. Obsessed with this one still. I loved the fated lovers story, dual perspective, time switching, book. This book made me ‘feel’ so much, and I loved it. Not much spice, but just so good.
Wild Love - The male main character in this book is dreamy. I loved this “it’s always been you” book about Rosalie and Ford. She’s his best friend’s sister, and he’s a billionaire. It was delightful. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
Other Reads
Quicksilver - A very enjoyable fantasy with a heavy dose of romance. I found the world pretty complicated at first, but I will definitely be reading the next one. There’s some fated love, war, silver that allows travel between locations, vampires and fae.
The Bombshell Effect - My first Karla Sorenson, and this was really enjoyable. Luke is a single dad and the Quarterback of the Washington Wolves. He meets his new neighbor and discovers that she is the new owner of the team. They try to resist their attraction, but end up forming a secret relationship.
From Nowhere - The second in the Wildfire Series, and Maren, a pilot, meets Ozzie, a single dad and mechanic, in an adorable meet cute. I don’t want to give anything away, but I enjoyed this a lot.
Here With Me - My first “ex-boyfriend’s dad” trope. This was a fun book about Noah and Fisher who have a fantastic night only to realize their connection. If you’re looking for a western theme/small town, this one’s for you.
A Pack for Autumn - Another new trope for me, Omegaverse. If this is new to you, here. This was a “why choose”/small town/omegaverse. It was fun, but I’m not in a hurry to complete the series.
What’s for Dinner

More A Day In Her Life:
ICYMI - This week’s episode with Amy Briggs is a great one. Amy is the founder of Aviva an app to help with the invisible load of parenting, as well as a speech language pathologist, and mom of two. Amy’s passion is helping parents and building their capacity and it’s clear in her thoughtful approach to her days.
One Year Ago - A Day In Her Life with Aja Frost and Aliza Sir! Aja and Aliza are the founders of Platonic Love, one of my absolute favorite newsletters on Substack. This was such a fun chat since Aja and Aliza are in different phases of life, it was fun to see the similarities and differences. We love friendship!
If you love romance novels, follow something new I’m working on with my friend Anna over on @pepper_books! We’re looking for feedback on our MVP, so would love if you’d take a second to complete this quick survey!

The peanutty pork and brussels is on a weekly rotation at my house. SUCH a good dinner recipe!
