This week, I took on the ambitious task of sewing a vest for myself because I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted online (why do I do this to myself?!). Honestly, I’ve felt a bit overcommitted all week, and I think it’s because of this project. But, I’m happy to say it’s finally finished, and I’ll be sharing the final product soon! Feeling overcommitted and overwhelmed is not new for me, but this week it became clear that some changes are needed. I’ll be sharing more about that in the coming weeks.
On to my faves this week – they’re a little random but bringing me so much joy!
Deebo - My daughter has been through two rounds of ear tubes, and we’ve spent way too much time at the doctor’s office for ear infections, especially last fall. Thanks to Catherine (Episode 39), I finally bit the bullet and got a Deebo otoscope, and honestly, the timing couldn’t have been better. My oldest started complaining about ear pain, and I could instantly tell something was off. Sure enough, ear infection! I’m so grateful to have this tool to help spot potential infections early. If you're in the same boat, I highly recommend it. Plus, I’ve got a discount code, DAY15, for 15% off, thanks to Minni, the founder!
Merit Great Skin Duo - I’d been interested in this for a while and purchased over Labor Day and I’m obsessed. The oil and lotion combo is incredibly hydrating, and my makeup glides on and stays looking fresh for hours. Whether I use it with makeup or alone, I’ve been getting so many compliments. Consider me hooked.
Clogs - It’s officially clog season again, and I couldn’t be happier! Whether they’re in style or not, I’ve decided I’m never giving them up. I’ve been living in my Birkenstock Bostons (throwback to high school and college), and my No. 6 clogs are perfect for quick errands and a more elevated look. They bring me so much joy! I’m also eyeing the Rothy’s clogs next.
New Tennis Sneaks - For way too long, I’ve been playing tennis in shoes that I absolutely hated (why didn’t I return them, I’ll never know). But after trying on a bunch, I finally found a pair I love! I just signed up for a weekly fall clinic, and I’m counting down the days until it starts next Thursday.
Red Cardigan - I went into H&M the other week (in the Mall - a harrowing experience), and my son, who’s always my hype man, insisted I get this red cardigan. I’m obsessed! I’ve already worn it a bunch with jeans and black pants, and I love the versatility. I’m definitely grabbing the black one too.

What’s for Dinner
Sunday - Out at a Brewery with Kids (but made beef tacos in Pressure Cooker for Monday
Monday - Madison’s Favorite Tacos
Tuesday - Caro Chambers Peanutty Pork and Brussels from her new cookbook - I think I’ve made this 4 weeks in a row. I doubled it this week in order to have LOs for lunch, and I’ve committed to trying something new next week but this is a HIT.
Wednesday - Breakfast for Dinner and Leftovers
Thursday - Pasta with Vodka Sauce - this sounds glamourous but in reality was a pantry/freezer pilfer for the right things.
More A Day In Her Life:
ICYMI - This week’s episode with Abby Rakshit was so insightful! Abby is the founder of Season - a new company making sports more accessible for women. We talk about her schedule as a founder and how she’s listening to her body and mind in this phase as an entrepreneur, and how her dog is inspiring her to play more! I loved this conversation and getting to know Abby! Another shout out to
for being the best connector! One Year Ago - A Day In Her Life with Dr Kathryn Boger! Kat is a Clinical Psychologist, Startup Founder, Author, and Mom of Three! I loved hearing how Kat gets up early, savors baths, and why she wrote a book about anxiety for kids. Our conversation made me think so much about my kids and I learned so much!
