This week, fall truly made its entrance, and I couldn’t be more ready. The mornings have turned crisp, leaves are starting to scatter on the ground, soccer season (the ultimate fall sport) has kicked off, and apple picking is in full swing. I absolutely love the change in seasons.
The transition from summer to fall is fleeting—just 2-3 weeks where you can comfortably wear sweaters with shorts, or channel your inner Princess Diana with bike shorts and sweatshirts. Lately, this has been my go-to look (if I’m not wearing a tennis skirt - which you know I love). With our new routine (and a new ADIHL episode coming soon!), I’ve carved out a little more time for myself before the workday starts. Whether it’s a walk or run with a friend, or a workout at home right after drop-off, I’m making the most of these mornings.
While I’m working on getting “dressed” more during the day, starting off in my workout gear is key to feeling ready, energized, and prepped for my workout. Below are some of my favorite pieces for morning walks and bus stop drop-offs.
Five Friday Favorites:
Sloppy Joe Raglan V Neck - I tried the collared version, but it wasn’t for me. When I spotted this one, though, I knew it was perfect. It's super comfortable and even made the ideal beach sweatshirt this summer.
Butter Pants Sweat Shirt - I bought this immediately after seeing Caro Chambers share it, and it’s been a regular go-to ever since. It’s incredibly comfy with an oversized fit, and I love the color options. I’m even considering ordering it in light blue.
Nike Golf Sweatshirt - I grabbed this in a pinch at Golf Superstore when I needed whites, and now it’s one of my most complimented pieces. It's unbelievably versatile—great for dressing up or down—and so comfortable. Definitely a wardrobe MVP.
Chord Hat - When I first saw this $125 hat, I had a serious WTF moment. But after hunting for the perfect black nylon hat for ages, I caved and ordered it. Honestly, it's perfect. I’ve admired Mary Orton for a while, so I’m happy to support her brand. I’m eyeing the blue cotton version, but I’ll save that for a future splurge.
Lulu Lemon Align - The Align Leggings got me through some of my darkest days - aka pregnancy with both kids (I am not a glowing pregnant woman) - and these shorts are the Align material in short form. I prefer the 6” over the 8” but either way, they’re perfect. I have been eying these on recommendation from
, and think they might come home with me soon because I need some spandies with pockets.Old Navy Power Soft - I got these in this fun pattern recently, and they spark joy. I like that they’re not standard black or navy and the material is solid.

What’s for Dinner
Sunday - Chaos Dinner at our house
Monday - Peanutty Pork Noodles with Brussel Sprouts - My kids LOVE this, my son said “mom, how do you cook so good” when I made it this week, and truly, no better compliment.
Tuesday - Burgers - Kids love burgers, we all love them.
Wednesday - Mexican Chicken And Rice from The Defined Dish - Or Chicken with Orange Rice as my son calls it, is his absolute favorite meal, and another one we all love. My son said “mom, you outdid yourself” - can’t make this up, he’s copying what my dad says to my mom when she makes something he likes.
Thursday - Brats - Fun fact, I thought I had tennis, but showed up and realized I’d missed it because it’s on Wednesdays now. COOOOL.

I have a personal goal of getting 100 Podcast Reviews by the end of the year! I have 61 on Apple Podcasts and 31 on Spotify (getting so close!). I can’t see who leaves reviews on either app, except if you leave a narrative review on Podcasts. SO if you are so inclined and are loving the podcast, please leave a narrative review on Podcasts. If I reach the goal, I will give away some fun podcast merch to those who’ve left narrative reviews! HUGE Thanks to those who’ve already left reviews recently!!!!!
