We’re back from vacation and finally back in a groove at home. I shared some of my favorite travel things before our spring break trip (read here), and we brought all of these on our most recent trip.
I do think there’s something about coming back from vacation and feeling excited to get back into real life. We had a blast with family and I cherish seeing my cousins’ kids and my kids become friends. But I was also so glad to get back to my bed, have an everything shower, and get back into our regular routine.
No competition, my favorite thing in the past two weeks has been the Olympics. I’ve cried, I’ve laughed, I’ve been so impressed by the athleticism, sportsmanship, and skill of all of the athletes. I love all Olympics, but the Summer Olympics is just the best. Can’t stop watching, and was grateful to be on vacation for the whole first week, so I could watch as much gymnastics and swimming as my heart could hold until 2028.
Five Friday Favorites:
Crown Affair Air Dry Mousse - I was just getting into “doing” my hair when the summer humidity arrived with a vengeance. I discovered this through IG and confirmed with
that it was worth it, and I am loving it. I use it in the morning after I wash my hair and it just looks so much better when I let it air dry. I sometimes twist it or braid it but often just loosely brush it and let it dry.Clean Skin Club - I wanted to not like these, but I love them. It’s so nice to dry my face with these after washing at night. I also use them to wipe down the counter when I’m done, and everyone is happier.
Maagmic Boys Bathing Suits with Compression Shorts - Last year at the beach, my son had a lot of chafe from his trunks, and I got him some of these on
recommendation and these were great! No chafe = happy boy on the beach. They also come in so many cute colors and patterns and the price is right!Kid Suitcase - My son has been BEGGING for a suitcase for a while now, and I finally caved and got him one before our most recent trip. I was prepared for this to be a mess, but it ended up being great! He never complained about it and was really proud of having his own suitcase. I’m excited, we might be nearing being a carry-on family again - well once my daughter can handle it.
Cold Brew Tea Bags - I don’t drink coffee, I only drink iced tea, and while it’s usually not hard to find, sometimes I don’t have the option to run to a coffee shop and get some. Enter these tea bags I found at the grocery store. They’re incredible. The tea is delicious, and it’s so nice to have as an option. I am picky about my tea, but these hit the spot.

What’s for Dinner
We ate WELL on vacation and needed a bit of a reset upon returning. I’ve been taking advantage of the 90-day free subscription to Whole Foods Delivery and ordering our groceries. It’s not my favorite, but if I don’t have to pay the delivery fee, I’m much more willing to do it.
Sunday - Burgers 🍔 - My son devoured these.
Monday - Honey Chipotle Chicken Tacos - These are probably my most made meal of the year.
Tuesday - Buffalo Chicken Salad - I made blue cheese dressing and used the air fryer to cook some chicken tenderloins and added some Frank’s Hot Sauce. Served it all over lettuce with carrots and celery.e
Wednesday - Sausage Bake - We joined forces with friends and this is a super easy meal to make for a group, especially kids. We served over arugula for us, and over pasta for the kids.
Thursday - Left Over Pulled Pork from the Freezer with Tots and Roasted Broccoli
