One of my brain’s many tangents this week was pondering, “What are the things I absolutely can’t live without in my day-to-day life?” This thought popped up because I ran out of my Vintner’s Daughter set for about two weeks, and when it finally arrived, I swear my skin breathed a sigh of relief. I’ve shared my Makeup/Skin Routine earlier this year, but today I’m thinking about the other essentials I use every day—those items I’d immediately replace if they were lost or broken.
Five Friday Favorites:
Iced Tea Maker - I don’t drink coffee, but I do drink a LOT of iced tea. I’m pretty particular about it, too. I use my iced tea maker every 4-ish days to brew a gallon of my favorite blend, and I look forward to my two glasses of iced tea every day. If you’re local and have been to the Thinking Cup, you’ll understand my obsession with their iced tea. I used to spend too much there until I discovered I could buy 1-gallon Bergamot Iced Tea bags from Mem Tea, which costs the same as one large iced tea. Now I buy these in bulk (you can order by phone, but not online).
Athletic Greens - This might be a bit polarizing, but I genuinely love starting my mornings with Athletic Greens. Earlier this summer, I intentionally ran out to see if I really needed it, and it turns out I do—I missed it so much that I reordered immediately. I mix it with unflavored protein powder, and not only do I enjoy the taste, but it also keeps me full for a while. I also feel like, no matter what, I got some good juju in my body for the day.
Airpods - If my AirPods ever died, I’d replace them instantly. I can’t imagine life without them. I use them constantly—whether I’m walking the dog, cooking, taking calls, working, or just relaxing. The ones with the funky ear pieces fit perfectly and stay put, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels like these are indispensable.
Sleep Crown - If I ever misplaced my Sleep Crown, I’d have to repurchase it immediately. I use it every night, and it’s a game-changer. It covers your eyes and ears, blocks out noise, and creates a blackout environment. The gentle pressure is so soothing—I absolutely love it.
Amazon Echo Show 15 - I have shared this before, but this Alexa is gold. We have it in the kitchen and use it for everything—from watching TV (YouTube TV, Amazon, Netflix, etc.) and managing our grocery list, to setting timers and video calling the grandparents. It even displays our family Google Calendar so we can see what’s coming up at a glance. I also use it for reminders—whether it’s giving medicine to the kids when they’re sick or setting alarms to get everyone out the door on time. I truly miss this when we travel.

What’s for Dinner
Sunday - Salmon with Rice - Just baked the salmon and made a Mediterranean Rice by describing what I wanted to Chat.GPT and it was great.
Monday - Beef Tacos - My son said, “I don’t like these, I love them.” Making these in the Instant Pot is a game changer—sauté and cook in under 40 minutes, all in one pan.
Tuesday - Taco Salad - Used the leftover tacos for a chopped salad with cheese, onions, scallions, tomatoes etc. This was really good.
Wednesday - Pizza at the Pool!
Thursday - Mexican Chicken and Rice from Defined Dish
