- - This substack was recommended to me by a colleague, and I have been following as a free subscriber for a while. I recently upgraded and have been REALLY enjoying the content. shares weekly tips for people in tech careers that I have found really useful. Her daily wind-down and kick-start routines are really great and lead into my second Fave of the week.
Notion - I discovered this through the LNO in the Daily Wind Down routine from
, and I am obsessed. I am using it for work and then separately for the pod and my moms’ groups. There is so much you can do with it, and I am loving it.Paramount+ Shows - We subscribed to Paramount+ for the 7 day trial to get 1923, but didn’t finish it in a week, so since we’ve paid for the month, we’re trying to get the most out of it. If you like Yellowstone, 1923 is a prequel and so great. And then we started Special Ops: Lioness, and we’re very into it. More of a thriller than a calming, mind-numbing show. Either way, enjoying it.
Range by Kara Duval Pilates - I have been doing Kara Duval Pilates in some form since 2015. I LOVE her approach to movement, and I find my body craving it. Recently I “graduated” from PT, and I often find that when I do a class on Range and the movements are in line with what I was doing in PT. I did the weighted conscious core and weighted hamstrings, glutes, inner thighs, oh my this week, and I loved them.
A Big Life’s Money Talks - Budgeting and finances have been a big focus of ours this year, and I love the conversation that @alotofyouhaveasked has been having on Instagram as well. Everything feels expensive, and I appreciate not feeling alone in that feeling.
What’s for Dinner
This week was heavy on cooking rather than freezer meals, but I froze 40+ meatballs from what I made on Sunday (which will last us a few months) and also froze a full meal of the Ginger Pineapple Chicken. Why cook twice if you can cook once? The kids mostly ate what I cooked (my son devoured the tacos), but I made them fish sticks in addition to the Ginger Pineapple Chicken just in case. Next week will likely be more freezer-focused.
Sunday - Grossy Pelosi Meatballs and Marinara
Monday - Hibachi Chicken via Defined Dish
Tuesday - Beef Tacos via Skinny Taste
Wednesday - Ginger Pineapple Chicken via Half Baked Harvest
Thursday - Out (kids had a frozen pizza)
