I’m on night 4 of a week long work trip, and I truly cannot wait to get home to my husband and tiny humans tomorrow!
I really do love work travel, it’s invigorating to be around colleagues, we’ve shared some incredible laughs, and I have learned so much! I feel really lucky to work with and learn from an awesome team.
What I don’t love so much is leaving my husband and kids. I’m working on feeling less guilt when I travel, and I talked about that with Sam and Zara on on Do You Want The Truth this week. Lucky for my husband, this weekend is Father’s Day, so here are some ideas for Father’s Day that I might put to use!
I hope you’ve thought farther ahead than I have if you need to get Father’s Day gifts!
UPF Shirts - My husband has been loving shirts like this at the beach recently, and you can always use another. This FreeFly brand has a lot of options!
Rhoback Anything - This is one of my husband’s favorite brands. He loves everything he has, and this sweatshirt is a big favorite. He has a lot of the polos, so likely doesn’t need another, and I was also eying some of the joggers for him, so we’ll see.
Personalized Golf Balls - My husband loves to golf and arguably doesn’t do it enough. I thought these personalized golf balls could be really fun for the next time he plays. Also I’m thinking he should golf with some friends soon and I might facilitate that for Father’s Day.
An Experience - Sometimes I want to get a bit out of Father’s Day, or make it an experience we can share. There are lots of bath places opening up around us (Bodhi Spa and Kelo Spa), and those are a great option for us instead of a full spa day!
Kid Stuff - Not something to buy, but I love how excited my kids get to celebrate Mother’s Day/Father’s Day with us! I’m going to make some fun cards with them, record a video talking about their dad, and make a lot of merriment! Seeing the excitement through their eyes is really awesome.
