Our January has been an (overall) very fun whirlwind, but it’s also felt 100 days long.
I did a No-Shop January again this year, influenced as always by my friend
, and shopping my closet and resisting purchasing impulses was really helpful. My friend Catherine of @_thecabro is doing a low spend year, and I really appreciate seeing her daily updates on her low spend year on IG (I am a subscriber). I’m trying to be more intentional with my shopping this year, and having a daily reminder is really helpful! To be honest, there haven’t been many things I’ve been tempted to break my no-shop Jan over - aside from these clogs, there’s nothing else that’s stuck in my mind. I need a new more tailored white shirt, and I want a silk skirt of some type. We live a fairly casual lifestyle, and I’m feeling pretty confident in what I’ve got in my closet. If anything I probably need to purge more. Winter also isn’t my favorite season, so I am sure that feeling will change as the seasons progress.
After this No Shop January, I figured I’d share some of the items that got the most use from my closet this month. I’m admittedly not very creative when it comes to getting dressed and working from home. Most days, it’s jeans and sweaters, and some days only my workout clothes.
Levi’s - These jeans have been one of my favorite pairs for a few years. They don’t have much stretch in them so they don’t strech out much, and they have a great soft/lived in feel even after washing. The wash that I have is Ojai Shore, which isn’t available on Levi’s anymore, this wash looks similar.
Adidas Sneakers - I got so many comments on these Gazelles when I shared them, and I love them so much. They are so comfortable, and add a fun element to most outfits.
Hatch Sweater - This. Sweater. Is. It. I got this when I was pregnant with my second, and I wore it through the last few weeks of pregnancy in the winter, and then postpartum, and now I still love it. It’s so comfortable and warm. It’s perfect.
Alice Walk Sweater - Looking at my mirror selfies all together, I notice a main theme of wearing cotton sweaters, and I wore this one a lot! I love the mock neck, and it’s pretty thin but so comfortable.
Wide Leg Pants - These Everlane Pants are so comfortable! They have a good amount of stretch. I wear them traveling, and I am so happy
What’s for Dinner
Monday - Salmon with Rice and Broccoli - My kids like the salmon a lot
Tuesday - Black Bean Soup from Defined Dish
Wednesday - Out
Thursday - Chicken Parm

I’m so impressed by how often you got dressed in January. I really intended to and then I decided to give up on the entire month and try again in February.
Yay, can't wait to see you next week!
