Home Sweet Home.
Disney was so great, but also, SO exhausting. I don’t think I was prepared for exactly how exhausting, overstimulating, and overwhelming Disney is. It was certainly magical, but I don’t love crowds, and there really are people EVERYWHERE. I don’t know if it was the time of year, or it’s just always that crowded (I suspect it’s the latter) but it was a lot.
We had a ball, and I am so glad we did it, but I could use a vacation to recover from this one!
Below are some things that sparked joy recently! I will share another post about Disney at some point if there’s interest! Let me know in the comments.
Glerup Slippers - The weather hit COLD when we got home, and these slippers are on repeat during the work day. I love that my feet don’t sweat or get too hot, like they do in some of the shearling slippers.
Bean Boot Moccasins - The weather also was ridiculously rainy on Wednesday here, and I think in most of the East Coast, and these are my go-to throw-on boots for going out in the rain. I’ve had these since college - they’ve seen some beer covered basements, and preschool drop off. Highly recommend grabbing a pair of these for yourself or someone else on your list.
Hubelino - My son got these for his birthday, and he’s been obsessed. It’s so fun to build something and have it do something, and I love that it’s compatible with the 1M Duplo we have! It’s giving them new life since my kids don’t often play with them right now - he’s more into the smaller legos now. This is also a great product for both 6yo and almost 3yo to play with together.
Yoto Player - We have a Yoto for my son and he uses it primarily with travel, but he’s been loving the podcasts right now, specifically “Kid’s Short Stories with Hey Mr Jim”. We loaded the podcast onto one of the make your own cards, and he’s been listening to it every night.
My Home Assistant - We got back on Tuesday afternoon, and I have never been so lax about laundry after a trip. My husband and I ran two loads through the wash, and our home assistant folded and put it away, as well as unpacked our packing cubes in the process. She also the majority of my wrapping this week, which was a huge stressor. I am so grateful to have found her and have a bit more time back in my days!
What’s for Dinner
Sunday - Gone
Monday - Gone
Tuesday - Takeout Indian Food
Wednesday - Honey Chipotle Chicken Tacos
Thursday - Sad Pasta, Sausage, and Canned Sauce Dinner - My husband cooked which I appreciated, but we had Pork and Brussel Sprouts on the menu and Whole Foods didn’t deliver it.
