This week was a tough one. I usually do a pretty good job of keeping my personal life separate from work, but this week, stress and anxiety from work seeped into my personal space, and it was hard to shake. I was feeling extra emotional and honestly, it was just rough.
But then, coincidentally, I received so many heartwarming messages, comments, and emails from listeners this week. It lifted my spirits and meant so much to me. So thank you!
I have been thinking about it recently and decided to turn on the Subscriber Chat for A Day in Her Life, and I’d love for you to join in and tell me you separate your work and personal life - especailly during times of stress? You can ask questions, seek advice, or share how you’re doing things in your life. This is a supportive community of women, and my goal is to hop in and crowd-source questions weekly. And as with all things, let’s have some fun with it. You can chat on the app or on the web!
On to this week’s favorites! I’ve been trying to be more mindful in my shopping lately, inspired by some wonderful mentors in this area -
and . Here are a few items I’ve had my eye on and finally added to my closet and my new favorite store:Long Vest – I’ve been hunting for a long vest for a while now. I spotted the one above on another mom at my daughter’s soccer game and had to ask where she found it. I ended up snagging it on Poshmark, and I am obsessed! It’s so light, easy to throw on, and keeps me warm. Highly recommend. I found a similar one in black and another olive one, but the one I bought is discontinued.
Salutation Leggings – After hearing Caro Chambers rave about these leggings, I finally gave in. I was on a run the other day, and my old leggings kept slipping down, so it was time. I grabbed them in dark green, burgundy, and black, (all on massive sale too) and I’m in love! I went for the 7/8 stash version because leggings with pockets are always a win for me. Plus, I picked up the Essential Shirt too, which I’m really enjoying.
Everlane Curve Jeans – After eyeing barrel leg jeans for a while, I got these from Everlane a few weeks back, and they’re fantastic! They’re super flattering, comfy, and I’ve been living in them. While I was at Everlane, I also grabbed these pants that are super comfortable and this shirt that friends had recommended, and they’ve quickly become my go-to tees.
Doen Henri Top – I’ve wanted a shirt from Doen for ages, but I didn’t want to splurge until I tried a few styles. During a recent trip to New York, I finally got the chance, and I found one I loved! It’s versatile—easy to dress up or down. I did notice the solid colors were more sheer than I preferred, so if you’re shopping online, keep that in mind.
New Local Consignment Store – A new consignment store, The Round Rack, opened near me in Quincy, MA, and I’m so excited! I’ve scored some amazing pieces—like these high-top Nikes, this white AYR top, this fun top, and even a stunning wedding guest dress—all at great prices. If you’re in the area, check it out. And if not, I highly encourage you to explore and support your local consignment shops.

What’s for Dinner
Sunday - Golf Wives Dinner - Our husbands were golfing so we all met up at one house to do dinner and let the kids play! It was chaotic, but very fun.
Monday - The Caro Chambers Peanutty Pork and Brussels - A family favorite. My son even declared it “excellent” this week.
Tuesday - Grilled Honey Dijon Chicken with Farro and Arugula - We’re obsessed with the Honey Dijon Chicken from Whole Foods. We mix in some farro and arugula with a lighter version of the Charlie Bird’s Salad dressing, and it’s always a hit.
Wednesday - Brats and Fries - Easy weeknight dinner because Wednesday are Tennis Nights!
Thursday - Peanut Noodles and Dumplings - The Peanut Noodle recipe is a classic from when I was first living alone from the In the Small Kitchen Cookbook.
