pops of color
I was chatting with someone on instagram the other day, and she commented that my style was “classic with pops of color.” I’d never really thought of it that way, but when I reflected on that, I realized she’d distilled it pretty perfectly.
I don’t consider myself a stylish person by nature. I feel like I generally know what I like, I'm continuing to figure out what feels good/looks good on my body, and I can’t really tolerate any thing too “delicate.” I need that f*ck yes feeling keep something in my wardrobe, and same goes with accessories etc. I’m not really setting out for a look or a style, I just wear what I like.
This comment had me thinking about the pops of color that I have and those I’d like to add to my repertoire!
Bags
If you’ve seen any of my stories recently, you know this bag has gotten a lot of miles this quarter. I love the red color, the size, and the function. It’s not too precious - but it looks nice and holds SO MUCH - the green is adorable! I REALLY want the smaller size in the Orange. It’s soooo good. I also am always raving about this bag in the red, and I’m so glad Cuyana brought back the Chili color. My husband got me this for my birthday, and I love it. I have this bag in gray, and saw Lucie Corkery with it in this cute floral and then my friend was wearing this in red. This one is also cute and would be a great gift. I absolutely do not need any more bags, but I have my eye on this bag but waiting until they have a bright color - I saw it on a woman this fall and loved it.
Shoes
I always love a fun pop with a shoe too. Bright sneakers are so fun like all of the Adidas ones - the florals are so cute. I also love these rug shoes, I have three pairs and they’re so unbelievably comfortable. I’ve also had my eyes on these and these for the summer. I absolutely don’t need another pair of these, but love the color.
Fun Accessories
I’ve been loving this recently, and love that it adds a pop of color but is also SPF so keeping my skin safe. I have my eyes on a new one in the upcoming drop. I love my Loulu necklace that Lucie and Claire designed for us, and I’ve had my eyes on this one or this one next. I also saw this recently and can’t stop thinking about it. I have a number of fun goofy earrings, and I was eyeing these for a recent wedding. I also love what Cece and her sister are doing at Mister B, and this necklace and these earrings are high on my list.
